Remember, in your report cards, you always see those nice and wonderful comments that you always get (and you know that they are actually totally NOT the truth?).

What teachers say, and what they really mean.


1. Your son has a remarkable ability in gathering needed information from his classmates.(He was caught cheating on a test).
2. Your daughter is an endless fund of energy and viability.(The hyperactive monster can't stay seated for five minutes).
3. Fantastics imagination! Unmatched in his capacity for blending fact with fiction.(He's definitely one of the biggest liars I have ever met).
4. Your daughter exhibits a casual, relaxed attitude in school, indicating that high expectations does not intimidate her.(That lazy thing hasn't done one assignment all term).

· Written accounts and comments of any research undertaken outside the classroom (e.g. attending theatre performances/talks; field trips; personal research of books, online searches, journal/newspaper articles) 1 A4 page

Any material that stimulates an imaginative relationship to working creatively with drama (e.g. diagrams, pictures, text) Any amount

You are encouraged to record more than what happens during class time. You are encouraged to show clear insight about what each step of the course personally means for you, as well as demonstrate initiative in undertaking extensive personal practice, preparation and research.

• Format: The bulk of the journal should be in the form of a written diary (handwritten or computer-printed) and/or scrapbook that are easily accessible (i.e. legible/readable).

– Submission: For 2009, the journal must be submitted at the last session of each semester (i.e. 15 May & 9 Oct). Only a hard copy version will be accepted.
